Public Preparedness Assessment
This survey is designed to gather community feedback on individual emergency preparedness and public understanding of local emergency management roles and responsibilities. The information collected will help the county identify knowledge gaps, concerns, and priorities so it can develop clear, relevant public information materials. Survey results will be used to create an emergency preparedness informational packet for the county website, local municipalities, and social media platforms, ensuring resources reflect what residents need most.
Wisconsin DNR is urging snowmobilers to be careful on ice, stay sober and ride only on designated trails. There have already been two snowmobile fatalities this season. Two of the most common contributors early in the season are weak ice and impaired operation. Both factors can be mitigated through planning and smart decision-making.
